La Smala #6

The sixth volume of La Smala arrives with the delightfully chaotic energy the series does so well — the cover bursts with a crowd of animated characters hauling boxes, luggage, and belongings in every direction, all swirling around a grinning, pink-haired Magali front and center. The warm amber tones and lively, expressive cartooning by Mazan, Porde & Robberecht give the whole scene an infectious sense of gleeful pandemonium. If "Magali déménage!" is any indication, this 2009 Dargaud release promises the kind of warm, wonderfully messy family comedy that makes La Smala such a joy.
