La boîte #[nn]
Olivier Texier's La Boîte, published by Vide Cocagne in 2016, announces itself with a cover that perfectly captures the absurdity of office life: a wide-eyed blue figure in a suit stands slack-jawed and bewildered, completely surrounded by a dense, cheerful chaos of keyboards, monitors, staplers, coffee mugs, scissors, phones, and every other artifact of the modern workplace. The bold two-tone palette of yellow and pink pops with graphic energy, making the lone hapless employee feel both central and utterly swallowed by the corporate clutter around him. It's a sharp, witty visual setup that promises a deadpan look at the world of work.
