The tenth volume in Turk and De Groot's beloved Franco-Belgian comedy series, La Guerre des Génies pits rival inventors against each other in what the cover promises to be a wonderfully chaotic clash of contraptions. The cover shows a sparking, wide-eyed robot at center stage — bolts flying and gears spinning — while two groups of gleeful, round-faced characters face off on either side, clearly backing their respective mechanical champions. It's a cheerful celebration of madcap ingenuity, exactly the kind of warmhearted slapstick that made Léonard a staple of European humor comics throughout the early 1980s.
