Frank series finds its hero in the thick of a tense waterborne confrontation, with figures locked in urgent action across the deck of what appears to be a vessel at sea. Gilles Chaillet's crisp, clear linework brings a genuine sense of movement and danger to the cover, perfectly suited to the intrigue promised by the title "Operation Thor." Jacques Martin and Chaillet make for a compelling team, and this 2002 Casterman entry looks like a satisfying thriller for fans of the series.
