L'Effaceur #1
From Vents d'Ouest comes this sharp Franco-Belgian comedy series, and its opener sets the tone perfectly: a cool, sunglasses-wearing hitman-type in a military-style uniform stands smugly in a doorway, twin silenced pistols raised, while a pair of hapless legs stick out from the floor in front of him — all framed by a cheerful "Welcome" sign that makes the whole scene deliciously absurd. The series motto, "Clients et victimes, même satisfaction," says everything you need to know about the tongue-in-cheek world Jenfevre and Richez have in store. A wonderfully irreverent start to what promises to be a fun, darkly comedic ride.
