'94 series puts a white-haired woman in a dark uniform front and center — composed, even defiant — as she crouches atop a massive pile of defeated yellow-helmeted soldiers. Barry Kitson's cover work gives her a cool intensity that makes the scene feel both triumphant and vaguely unsettling, the sheer number of fallen foes piled beneath her doing a lot of quiet storytelling on its own. With interior work from writer Tom Peyer and artists Tom Tenney and Stephen Jones, issue #62 looks like a compelling chapter in one of DC's more underappreciated sci-fi team books.
