Part of Editions Paquet's Mémoire 1939–1945 collection, this second volume of L'Armée de l'ombre carries the evocative subtitle "Le réveil du géant" — The Awakening of the Giant. Olivier Speltens's cover sets an immediate tone of armored menace, depicting two hulking German Panther tanks rolling through a smoke-shrouded forest landscape, their long guns angled forward with grim purpose. It's a striking piece of wartime atmosphere from a creator who handled every stage of the work himself, from script to finished line and ink.
