L'Agent 212 #2

A cheerful slice of Belgian comics humor, this second volume of L'Agent 212 — "Au Nom de la Loi" — pairs writer Raoul Cauvin with artist Daniel Kox for a look at the lovably hapless Officer 212. The cover sets the comic tone perfectly: our portly, sunglasses-wearing policeman stands in the foreground while a top-hatted figure perched above him lets out a telltale "Hips!" — hiccups and the law apparently making for an uneasy partnership. Published by Dupuis in 1982, this is Franco-Belgian comedy at its most disarmingly good-natured.
