L'Agent 212 #14
The fourteenth installment of this beloved Belgian comedy series finds the rotund, red-faced Agent 212 dangling upside down from a highway overpass — uniform intact, expression somewhere between panic and bewilderment — while a small bird looks on with what can only be described as mild amusement. Titled Saute de Poulet ("Chicken Jump"), this 1992 Dupuis album promises exactly the kind of slapstick absurdity fans of the series have come to love, brought to life through Daniel Kox's expressive artwork and Raoul Cauvin's reliably sharp scripting. A charming addition to the run that wears its goofy, good-natured humor right on its cover.
