A single biplane — marked "F-AJDZ" — cuts through a dramatic mountain pass wreathed in snow and storm clouds, evoking the perilous mail routes of the legendary Aéropostale pilots. This 2013 Soleil release opens the Des pilotes de légende series with a tribute to Guillaumet, one of the most celebrated aviators of the early airmail era. Writer Christophe Bec and artist-colorist Patrick Dumas set an immediately atmospheric tone, with Dumas's cover painting the Andes (or similarly forbidding peaks) as both breathtaking and unforgiving.
