休日のわるものさん [Kyūjitsu no Warumono-san] #5

A villain's day off looks surprisingly wholesome in this fifth volume of Kyūjitsu no Warumono-san, where the cover shows a tall, quietly cool figure loaded down with a "Panda Mart" shopping bag and a yellow tote, clearly deep into some very serious panda-themed retail therapy. A small panda peeks out from the upper right corner among purple foliage, while two other characters linger in the background, giving the whole scene a relaxed, slice-of-life warmth that contrasts delightfully with the "villain" premise. Yū Morikawa's series continues to charm with this understated, character-driven volume that makes everyday errands feel oddly endearing.
