Kung Fu Panda #2

Po leaps into action on the cover of this second chapter in Ape Entertainment's four-issue DreamWorks series, hanging upside-down in mid-air while a fearsome armored bird creature clutches a wooden crate just above him — all set against a sweeping sky full of billowing clouds. The cover art by Rolando Mallada captures a wonderfully kinetic sense of mid-adventure chaos, with Po's wide-eyed grin suggesting he's either very brave or very oblivious (probably both). With Matt Anderson writing and "Special Delivery" as the story title, this 2011 young-reader issue promises exactly the kind of high-flying, good-natured fun the franchise does best.
