Based on the Cartoon Network animated series, this 2007 DC title brings Superman's cape-wearing super-pup to comics in full animated style. Cover artist Scott Jeralds packs the scene with Krypto leading a colorful squadron of animal heroes — including a bat-masked dog, a speedy orange cat, and a whole assortment of super-pets — all converging against a glowing green sky over a city skyline. Looming in the foreground is a menacing golden cat crackling with energy, and the cover copy teases "Beware the Orange Kryptonight!" — setting the stage perfectly for Jesse Leon McCann's story, "The Purr-fect Crime.
