Krazy Komics #17 brings the spring 1945 funny-animal chaos in full force, with a cover by Moe Worthman that practically leaps off the page. A grinning pig character and a smaller clown-like pal peer out from behind a wooden fence, gleefully quipping "Is your trip necessary? Ha! Ha!" as a hapless figure in yellow-and-black striped stockings goes headfirst into a puddle with a resounding "SPLASH!" — right at the corner of Silly Ave. and Ziggy St. It's the kind of delightfully absurd slapstick energy that made Timely's humor titles a welcome ten-cent treat during the war years.
