Krasse Knarren #5

The fifth volume of Lupano and Cauuet's Krasse Knarren arrives in 2018 with a cover that perfectly captures the series' affectionate comedy — a flamboyant elderly gentleman in a purple top hat scatters papers into the air, while a large, flower-garland-wearing older man stands nearby and a third elderly figure sits on the floor surrounded by small stuffed animals. Paul Cauuet's linework gives the whole scene a warm, witty charm, rendered in that distinctive orange-and-purple palette. "Rijp voor het asiel" — "Ready for the Asylum" — promises another round of gloriously chaotic adventures from these wonderfully ungovernable senior characters.
