In "Der geheimnisvolle Koffer," Korak, riding his giant eagle, narrowly avoids a crashing plane in the jungle. The survivors, it turns out, are bank robbers who now rely on Korak to guide them back to civilization—though their true intentions remain shrouded in mystery.

In "Die Sklaven der Chango-Minen," Korak discovers that his friends in the city of Tschef have been enslaved by the Chango people. With a recently acquired machine gun, the Chango keep the slaves under control as they labor deep in a diamond mine.

In "Die Brücke," Doktor Smythe faces a deadly race against time, forced to cross treacherous mountains to halt a spreading epidemic—only to be blocked by a shattered bridge. With his life and the fate of many hanging in the balance, Korak constructs a makeshift span, refusing any gratitude for his daring act.
