When the queen grants them the right to choose brides, Korak refuses—until Mandyama selects a white captive, sparking a duel that Korak wins. The queen then arranges his marriage to Sue Randall, though Korak quietly assures her the union is meaningless, a mere ruse to help her escape.

In "Die Riesen vom Schneefeld," Korak ventures into a frozen wilderness after a giant Torodon abducts a Ho-Don girl, following the beast to its icy lair. With courage and cunning, he confronts the creature, rescues the girl, and flees through treacherous terrain by triggering a massive avalanche. Their desperate escape leads them toward the hidden refuge of El-Lee’s people, deep in the snow-laden mountains.
