Adam sees some youths playing the Komikai game in which mini-comics in protective cases are hurled at each other like marbles. He is allowed to join in because he has his own Komikai mini-book. His unusual throw unleashes "Komikai, the Super Hero of the comic books" who appears and then abruptly vanishes. Adam is declared the champ. They see a poster for the Komikai Championships in Century City. He is urged to participate. Adam mulls it over. Even though he has never played before he considers giving it a shot.
