Koma #[nn]

From Frederik Peeters comes this striking Sherpa edition of Koma, written by Pierre Wazem, where the cover immediately pulls you into something unsettling and dreamlike. A small, wide-eyed girl stands alone in what appears to be a towering, vertiginous cityscape rendered in deep purples and blues, while an enormous, looming dark figure with glowing eyes hovers above her — the scale between the two is genuinely unnerving. It's a beautifully composed image that sets a mood somewhere between fairy tale and science fiction, and Albertine Ralenti's color work gives the whole scene an almost hypnotic, nocturnal glow.
