Knockout #384

"Knockout" #384 is an anthology comic containing two main stories. "Deed-a-Day Danny" follows a shy young boy who is persuaded to help with various tasks, including assisting an older woman, though his efforts often result in comedic mishaps and property damage. The second story features Ralph, a sailor who sets out alone to sail to Coral Island to rescue his friend Jack and Peterkin; after a fierce storm, Ralph reaches the island and attempts to signal his friends using a cannon and blank cartridge, successfully reuniting with them. Additionally, the issue includes a science fiction adventure with Sexton Blake and Tunker investigating a volcano and hidden city, where they discover bat-planes and must confront Zanadu, who holds the prisoner Hoo Sung and plans to create secret weapons for world conquest.
