The issue contains at least two stories. "Billy Bunter and the School Deserted" follows Billy Bunter and his schoolmates on a camping trip where they discover food mysteriously disappearing from their cellar, eventually learning that rats have been stealing it. In a separate adventure, Ralph and Bill encounter a native named Tararo on a beach, who recounts his history with them from their time on a coral island; the story continues with them discovering a hidden city ruled by the mysterious Sexton Blake, where they become prisoners and must escape through underground tunnels as the ground shakes with earthquake tremors.
