Knockout Comic #379 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Deed-a-Day Danny" follows a boy who attempts to perform good deeds but encounters humorous complications when he tries to help a woman choose a fancy hat, resulting in chaos with fruit and an advertising van. In a second story, Billy Bunter becomes embroiled in a dispute over a school cap that is stretched and damaged during a tug-of-war with an old man, leading to complications involving eggs and accusations before the situation is resolved at school. A third adventure titled "Ralph—Captured by the Pirates!" depicts Ralph and Jack discovering a cave hideout and Ralph subsequently being captured by pirates, setting up the cliffhanger for the next installment. The issue also features "Sexton Blake," in which Blake and his associate Tinker pursue mysterious intruders connected to stolen bat-planes and discover an "Atom Egg"—a strange invention that may hold the key to recovering a missing helmet and solving the case.
