This issue of Knockout contains two main stories: "Deed-a-Day Danny," a humorous strip in which Danny attempts to help his grandfather with various household tasks but causes comedic mishaps, including flooding the kitchen and ruining a party cake. The main serial, "The Capture of Sexton Blake," continues an adventure involving Sexton Blake being pursued and eventually captured; a parallel storyline follows David and Captain Hoseasson on a ship where David inadvertently causes an accident that kills Ransome, after which they crash and must survive at sea. Additional adventure continues as Coutts and Tinker pursue Dr. X in an attempt to rescue the captured Sexton Blake, leading to a climactic plane chase over water where the aircraft is forced down.
