Klassiker der DDR-Bildgeschichte #25

Part of Holzhof Comics' Klassiker der DDR-Bildgeschichte reprint series, this 2012 issue (#25) spotlights Hodscha Nasreddin, the beloved trickster-sage of Eastern folklore, as depicted by Günter Hain. The cover shows the bearded, red-fezzed Nasreddin scrambling up a rocky surface alongside a hunched companion, gourds and foliage tumbling around them — a wonderfully lively scene full of mischief and motion. As a bonus, the issue also includes Läuschen und Riemels, teased in a small vignette at the bottom right, making this a generous package of East German comics heritage.
