KISS #3

Dynamite's 2016 KISS series reaches its third issue with a genuinely striking cover by Nick Bradshaw: a pair of massive ornate doors — adorned with stars, crescent moons, and scrollwork, with the four members of KISS rendered in relief — loom over a group of young people caught mid-scramble on the stone steps below. Two of the teens are slipping through the opening doors while their companions look on in alarm, the whole scene framed by cobwebs and the imposing armored figures of the band standing sentinel on either side. It's a beautifully composed image that blends rock mythology with a sense of genuine, wide-eyed adventure.
