King of Spies #2

Mark Millar and Matteo Scalera's espionage series pushes further into the shadows with this second issue from Image Comics. Scalera's cover splits into two tense vignettes: above, a hulking operative lines up a shot with a scoped rifle in a dimly lit industrial space while a curly-haired accomplice watches from behind; below, a steely-eyed figure peers through glowing green night-vision binoculars, bathed in cool blue light. It's a study in surveillance and threat, and Giovanna Niro's warm-versus-cold color contrast makes the whole thing feel like a thriller you can't put down.
