Juan Ferreyra's painted cover for this fifth and final issue of the 2019 Marvel series is quietly haunting — Killmonger's intense, scarred face dominates the foreground, his expression caught somewhere between fury and sorrow, while a distant figure meditates beneath a blazing sky and a solitary waterfall cascades behind him. The warm amber and crimson palette gives the whole image a smoldering, almost elegiac weight, perfectly suited to a character defined by fire and loss. A compelling close to this Parental Advisory–rated series.
