About this Collection

This volume continues the manga adaptation of the hit anime series, collecting issues #5–8 of Udon's English release. The story follows Ryuko Matoi's ongoing battle against the student council of Honnouji Academy, as she wields the sentient Kamui Senketsu in her quest for answers about her father's death. This edition adapts the second arc of the original Japanese manga by Ryo Akizuki, based on the story by Trigger and Kazuki Nakashima.

"Episode 4" of Kill La Kill (2016, Udon Comics) sees Satsuki enforce a harsh new rule after a standoff ends in a draw: low-ranking students must navigate a deadly gauntlet of traps just to reach school, with being late meaning instant expulsion. Written by Kazuki Nakashima, Trigger, and M. Kirie Hayashi, and illustrated by Ryo Akizuki with inks and lettering by the same, the issue ramps up the tension with a high-stakes test of survival. The cover by Ryo Akizuki captures the intensity of the moment, a 12.99 USD comic that blends stylish action with escalating stakes.
