A vertigo-inducing cover sets the tone for this 2000 entry in Merho's long-running Belgian series, with a blonde woman reaching out frantically along the sheer face of a building while a kid in a red tracksuit dangles precariously nearby — all watched by a wide-eyed older man leaning out of a window above. Het Lijk Had Gelijk ("The Corpse Was Right") promises a mystery with plenty of breathless momentum, and this Standaard Uitgeverij album delivers that sense of danger right from the first glance.
