Celebrating 30 years of the beloved Belgian series, this 2007 Standaard Uitgeverij entry finds the Kiekeboe gang looking on in wide-eyed alarm as a daring red-clad figure guns a motorcycle along a precarious elevated ramp — with a passenger clinging on for dear life. Merho's signature blend of slapstick tension and lively character expressions is on full display, with three onlookers below pointing and gasping at the spectacle unfolding above them. Bij Verdiensten (issue #114) makes a fine addition to any shelf of this long-running Dutch-language comedy series.
