Midam's Kid Paddle returns for its second volume, bearing the gloriously over-the-top title "Totalna masakra" — and the cover delivers exactly that energy. Kid himself, green cap askew and eyes wide with manic concentration, cranks away at a smoking, overheating contraption alongside his wide-eyed, white-haired pal, while a curving arcade-style structure looms above them, lined with what appear to be battered, dazed creatures taking a serious pounding. It's a compact, brilliantly chaotic scene that captures everything fans of this 2001 Egmont Polska edition love about the series — goofy gadgetry, gaming mayhem, and two kids utterly committed to whatever questionable plan they've cooked up.
