Kid Montana battles to rescue his imprisoned friends from the "Gallows' Shadow," an outlaw stronghold where Noonan and his gang hold them captive. After Kid Montana's bullets turn the tide of an initial attack and help break the outlaws' first assault, the prisoners work to escape the jail while Kid Montana and his allies engage in a gunfight with Mantilla's gang outside. "Gorley's Ghost Town," a text story, follows Joe Browser, a former Rocky Mountain Detective Agency operative, as he travels to the ghost town of Hanson Points to help young Ralph Gorley claim his uncle's inheritance and investigate troubles in the abandoned settlement.
