“Cry Vengeance!”

In "Cry Vengeance!", the New York Smashers face rising tensions as mandatory drug testing stirs unrest, and rookie Hawkins is left paralyzed after a brutal hit from Austin Wreckers' "Ugly" Mack Thornton. As Jack Magniconte uses his influence to pressure Thornton into an apology, unseen forces pull strings behind the scenes—Fist's threats loom, and a desperate call from Benjamin Harrington, son of DP7's Stephanie Harrington, brings new urgency to Kickers, Inc. Written by Tom DeFalco, Terry Kavanagh, and Ron Altaville, with art by Howard Bender and inks by Art Nichols, this 1987 Marvel issue blends sports drama and intrigue, all captured in a striking cover by Tom Morgan.
