The New York Smashers owner calls for random drug testing of players. Smashers rookie Hawkins is permanently injured by Austin Wreckers' "Ugly" Mack Thornton. Fist makes behind-the-scenes threats to Jack Magniconte. Before and during opening game of season against the Wreckers, Magniconte intimidates Thornton who eventually apologizes to a paralyzed Hawkins sitting on the sidelines. Benjamin Harrington, son of DP7's Stephanie Harrington, calls Kickers, Inc. asking for their help to get in touch with his mom.
