A man crippled by a young street thug years ago gets his chance at justice when that thug—now the notorious killer Matthews—returns to their old neighborhood with a new face, only to be tracked down and confronted. As F.B.I. bullets close in, the killer's violent past floods back, from petty crime to murder sprees, revealing how one cruel act set him on an unstoppable path to ruin.
