Keubla #1 (1986) kicks off with a striking journey across the desert aboard a stranded train, where Keubla and el Krawa find themselves in a remote village built from the wreckage of a forgotten rail line. As Keubla is drawn to the enigmatic Halfa, tensions rise in a setting where passion clashes with rigid tradition. Written and illustrated by Jano, the story unfolds with a stark, atmospheric tone, its cover by Jano capturing the stark beauty and isolation of the desert landscape.
