En su habitación, Kendor consigue librarse de la muerte y acabar con los thugs enviados por Shivanta, la Estrella del Lejano Oriente y Rey de los Thugs. Inmediatamente y junto con Mark Colby se dirigen a la India para enfrentarlo. En Bombay son recibidos por Khiman, jefe del servicio de inteligencia quien los aloja en el Palacio del Rajá Tashintav. Khiman les explica que esa misma noche los thugs se reunirán en el Palacio Accarur, un antiguo templo dedicado a la diosa Kali. Khiman, Kendor y el General Colby se acercan escondidos entre la maleza y listos para actuar.
