When Jehoshaphat strikes out trying to find a dance partner—turning off both Emmylou and Tessie with his clumsy moves and other misadventures—Ya-Ta-Ta ends up getting the last laugh in the most unexpected way.
Bird Brain Byrd runs into an old acquaintance, Bidwell, who's just returned from Texas—and when Bidwell quizzes him about the place, Bird Brain's geography gets hilariously scrambled. This lighthearted one-pager captures the kind of wordplay humor that made Ken Maynard comics such quick, goofy fun in 1950.
