Katy Keene Comics #62

A hulking silver robot has gone haywire on the lot of Colossal Studios, clutching a dark-haired young woman in its massive arms while panicked crew members and bystanders scatter in every direction — Bill Woggon's cover sells the chaos of "The Mechanical Monster Runs Amuck on the Movie Set!" with real flair. Woggon's clean, expressive linework gives the lumbering machine a genuinely menacing scowl, making it hard not to wonder how Katy will get out of this one. For a dime in 1961, this Archie Series issue promised Hollywood glamour with a healthy dose of sci-fi mayhem thrown right into the mix.
