Part of DC's New 52 line, this February 2014 issue puts Katana at the center of a tense, visually striking cover by Alex Sanchez — her masked face looms in the background while a heavily tattooed woman in red raises a pistol in the foreground, and a samurai-armored figure crouches between them with his own gun trained outward. The tagline says it all: "Two Targets… One Destiny," promising a collision of dangerous forces across this issue's story, "Machine Gun Shun." With Ann Nocenti writing and art from Cliff Richards and Alex Sanchez, it's a sharp, blood-spattered chapter in Katana's New 52 solo run.
