From Swedish cartoonist Joakim Lindengren comes this 2018 Cobolt edition of Kapten Stofil, subtitled Dåligt är det nya bra — "Bad Is the New Good." The cover, rendered by Lindengren himself, channels the pulpy drama of vintage genre illustration: a menacing giant mosquito looms in a dramatic yellow light, while a startled figure in a red hat sprawls in the foreground and a second figure scrambles for safety in the background. It's a delightfully absurdist tableau that sets the tone perfectly for a comic whose story title translates roughly as "The World's Greatest Reactionary — Or…?
