Kaptara continues its gloriously weird sci-fantasy romp with issue #4, and Kagan McLeod's cover says it all — a wild-haired, bare-chested warrior in a fur-trimmed loincloth leaps dramatically through a swirling vortex of purples and blues, one massive hand reaching outward as an explosion erupts below him. The series tagline — "Exploding Into Your Minds, Hearts, Faces" — feels perfectly earned here, with McLeod's vibrant colors and kinetic energy making this one of 2015's most visually distinctive covers on the Image lineup. If you've been following this irreverent adventure, issue #4 looks ready to keep delivering the same exuberant strangeness.
