Kapitein Kreiss #3
John Heijink's Kapitein Kreiss returns with "De spiegelplaneet," and the cover makes a striking first impression: a heavily augmented, bald figure armed with twin handguns dominates the foreground, his cybernetic body plating and tinted goggles hinting at a world where flesh and machine have long since merged. Behind him, a banner panel reveals a pair of piercing blue eyes belonging to a mysterious woman, her gaze cool and calculating against a backdrop of a grimy, red-splashed urban sprawl. It's a tense, visually charged composition — all rendered with Heijink's confident linework and moody color palette — that makes this 2014 Dutch sci-fi series hard to put down.
