This first volume of the manga series introduces Aoi Tsubaki, a college student who can see spirits and is suddenly summoned to the spirit world by the ōkami (wolf) master of the Tenjin-ya inn. To settle a debt left by her grandfather, Aoi must work at the inn, but she refuses to become the master's bride and instead opens her own bed-and-breakfast within the spirit realm. The volume collects the opening chapters of the story, setting up Aoi's determined struggle for independence amid the supernatural politics of the hidden world.
