Ka-Zar the Savage #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1981 Marvel issue puts Ka-Zar front and center in a striking scene by Brent Anderson — the blond jungle lord spins a weapon overhead while energy blasts erupt from a hulking mechanical gun emplacement, all while a golden-haired woman crouches nearby, knife in hand, caught in the crossfire. The contrast between raw, primal heroism and cold machinery makes for a genuinely compelling cover composition. With Bruce Jones crafting the story "In the Beginning" and Anderson's linework carrying through from cover to interior, this is a fine chapter in one of Marvel's more underrated adventure series of the era.
