Forced into combat with the mysterious Gnome Zartros, the two escape after defeating the gladiator Makrum—only to learn Tandylla has been manipulated into her crown. As Ka-Zar vows to free her, his companions uncover a strange city of elders, where Kirk Marston's allegiance has turned perilously dark.
