Ka-Zar finds himself in desperate straits on this August 1998 cover, graphically pinned and restrained while a looming dark-gloved figure reaches down from above — the cover's bold question, "Can Ka-Zar clear his name... before Punishment is served?" setting up a story of accusation and survival. Kenny Martinez and Anibal Rodriguez deliver a kinetic, up-close composition that puts the Savage Land's wild lord in a rare position of vulnerability, his bone-adorned hair and tribal look contrasting sharply with the urban brick-and-fire backdrop. Writer Christopher Priest and the creative team look to be pushing Ka-Zar well outside his jungle comfort zone for this tense chapter.
