This issue contains three true crime stories. "Murder Special Delivery" recounts how Docile Deborah Cowling, deceived by a faithless admirer, became a venomous killer whose cunningly planned murders baffled police across the nation until she was convicted on circumstantial evidence alone. "True Famous Detective Cases" depicts an August 1923 train robbery at Osage Station, Oklahoma, where criminals commandeered the engine and attempted to escape with mail. "A Fortune in Slugs" tells of petty con man Augie Benson, who was caught stealing waste metal from a Midwestern stamping plant and attempted to bury New York's "Great White Way" under an avalanche of counterfeit slugs before his scheme was exposed.
