This anthology issue contains two true crime stories. The first story, "True FBI Cases," follows Special Agent Foley as he investigates James Skinner, a man accused of violently assaulting his wife; after examining Skinner's mental state and uncovering his association with fellow criminal agent Foley, the prosecution proves the case airtight, and Skinner is convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. The second story details the criminal career of Alvin Karpis, a train robber and gang organizer whose practical experience in holdups and narrow escapes with law enforcement made him notorious; his growing reputation and involvement with women like Doris Dennison eventually led to his capture and downfall.
