Justice League Unlimited #2

Straight from the Cartoon Network animated series, Justice League Unlimited #2 drops its heroes right into a Las Vegas-flavored showdown — the cover by Ben Caldwell deals out a chaotic scene featuring Superman, Huntress, a powerful-looking bruiser in a football jersey, and several other League members tumbling across oversized playing cards surrounded by casino chips. The animated style is crisp and energetic, perfectly capturing the anything-can-happen spirit of an expanded roster taking on a "Poker Face" adventure. With Adam Beechen writing and Ethen Beavers on art, this December 2004 issue makes a strong case that the JLU comic tie-in had plenty of its own personality to bring to the table.
