Justice League United #15
This January 2016 issue of Justice League United carries one of the more unsettling covers of the series — Tony Harris renders a snake-haired Medusa figure front and center, weapons in hand, flanked by a gaunt soldier in a wide-brimmed hat above and a brooding, dark-clad figure to the right, while a goggled, armored man looms to the left amid a backdrop littered with radioactive warning symbols, missiles, and warplanes. The Cold War-flavored imagery and the story title "War Zone 3: Our Army at War" promise a high-stakes, militaristic chapter for Jeff Parker's run. It's a genuinely striking composition from Harris that earns a second look.
